Kelsey has been a veterinary professional since 2016 and a lifelong animal advocate dedicated to improving the lives of both pets and the people who love them. She is passionate about accessible veterinary care, community collaboration, and keeping people and animals together regardless of their circumstances.
Kelsey believes that every pet deserves compassionate care and every family deserves support.
Originally from New Franklin, Ohio, Kelsey attended the University of Akron and spent 10 years living in Akron/Highland Square neighborhood.
Throughout her career, she has focused on building connections within the community and creating opportunities for underserved pet owners to access veterinary services.
She has organized three free veterinary clinics in partnership with Friends in Tents & Community Outreach and is the new co-owner of Portage Lakes Veterinary Hospital, where she continues her commitment to affordable, compassionate, and community-centered care.
Outside of veterinary medicine, Kelsey is a retro gaming enthusiast who enjoys gardening, exploring new places, and attending live music events. Her dedication to both animals and people reflect her belief that strong communities are built through compassion, connection, and care.
