This is OPEN TO THE COMMUNITY!
We accept adult and children’s books. Please make sure they are in good condition.
No requirements. Limit 20 per visit.
We also have free reading glasses in the library!!
We have a free library in a large cabinet on our front porch that is open 24 hours a day. This also includes school supplies when available as well as a small box of food. We have many people visit the library for the food during our closed hours
We have a Little Library located at Waltz Park at 1560 Wooster Rd Barberton Oh 44203. This one stays replenished with adult and children's books on a regular basis.
Why are they in milk crates?
We were inspired in Puerto Rico while on our Honeymoon. They have a free bookstore right on the sidewalk. We came across it while walking to dinner one night. We spoke to a homeless man who lives there, and he said that it started from one crate of books. It just continued to grow after that. People continued to bring books and drop them off.
We absolutely love that free bookstore that was open to anyone at any time. We loved it so much we decided to start one in the entrance way of our building and call it - Turn the Page Bookstore. We have included pictures of the bookstore in Puerto Rico as well as the 2 books that we brought home.
We also are interested in doing a Book Club - we are looking for volunteers interested in running the book club.
